September Classes and Crops

We have lots going on in September! We have 7 classes that are packed with techniques, new ideas and wonderful projects. VIS Members: don't forget to use your free class card, if you haven't already. It's good for up to $25 towards the cost of a class.

Altered Canvas Tag Album with Krista – $20
Saturday, September 4th, 10am – 2pm

This fabulous mini canvas album is filled with tons of great techniques!
Learn to use Luminarte's Twinkling h2o's, alcohol inks to highlight and color, crackle accent, make crepe
paper rosettes, glimmer mist and screens, create dictionary flowers with punches, canvas flowers and much, much more! Class includes 1 Twinkling h2o of your choice.

Supplies:
In addition to your basic kit, please bring liquid glue (glossy accents, zip dry or fabritac) and a fine tip paint brush

Kid’s Class – Notebook & Planner with Krista – $20
Saturday, September 4th, 3pm – 5pm

Even though school has already started it's never too late to get organized. In this fun class you will make a notebook and mini planner to help keep track of homework and friends. Get ready to bling, color and create your own flowers!
Ages 7 and up.

No supplies needed

College Chipboard Album with Barbara - $45
Thursday, September 16th, 1pm – 5pm

College football is here! What better way to remember the school year and all that goes with it than with a chipboard album that spells out your school pride. We’ll paint and cover chipboard letters, add picture mats and lots of embellishments. You’ll come away with an album worthy of any bragging rights!
Choose a Gators or Noles album – ask about Canes and Knights

Supplies:
In addition to your basic kit, please bring:
foam brushes and ½” soft hair brush
Red line tape 1/8 “ & ¼”
12 small binder clips
bone folder and tweezers
If you have them: heat gun, Crop-a-dile

Life’s a Beach Album with Luci - $40
Thursday, September 16th, 6pm – 9pm

Don’t miss this amazing beach-themed album using the Little Yellow Bicycle Boardwalk collection. With page shapes such as waves, a lighthouse, beach ball, bucket and shovel, palm tree and a sand castle, this album is so much fun! Bring your friends – and your beach memories!

Please bring your basic tool kit

Sewing on Paper with Amy - $22
Friday, September 17h, 6pm – 8pm 

 Have you always wanted to try your hand at sewing on paper, but not sure where to start? If so, this is the perfect chance to try it out! We will be making a two-page layout by sewing our elements onto the page. As a bonus, you’ll also learn how to make these cute silk ribbon flowers. You’ll be using a sewing machine in class, however, all you need is basic sewing machine experience.
Supplies:
Please bring your basic tool kit
Optional: if you have your own sewing machine, feel free to bring it! You’ll want to bring a package of new machine needles with smaller eyes

Using Die Cuts Beyond Paper: Creative T-shirt with Leah - $15
Saturday, September 18th, 11am – 1pm

Those diecut machines and dies that you've purchased are a bit of an investment - why not learn to use them in even more creative ways? In this class, we'll take your diecut machine beyond paper into fabric to create your own, one-of-a-kind, embellished t-shirt!
Note: this class is NOT for electronic cutters such as the slice or cricut. They will NOT cut the thick jersey knit required for the t-shirt.
Supplies:
1- t-shirt in your size and 1- matching t-shirt size XL
1 spool of matching thread
Optional: any of your favorite personal diecuts from sizzix or accucut You'll have access to whatever the store has available as well.

My Life, My Journey Album with Beatriz - $75
Saturday, September 25th, 9am – 5pm

This class is filled with techniques! In this workshop, you will create this Prima canvas album using acrylic paints, glimmer mists, screens, stamps, embossing, inks and chalks and much more. And best of all, no sewing necessary! Cost includes: Prima Canvas Album, Container of Gesso, Container of Rock Candy Crackle Paint, and TONS of other goodies!
Supplies:
In addition to your basic tool kit, please bring:
Light Modeling paste
Three brushes, different sizes


As for the September crops, you asked for a 3-day crop and you got it! The "Back to School Bash"! will be held on September 10th, 11th and 12th.

We have 7 total cropping days in September, including an extra Friday!

September Sneaks

Hello my fellow Papernichers,
Luci here, just giving you the down low on September's kit. Once again the ladies did a fabulous job putting it all together. It's got tons of scrapping goodness. I must admit this month was easy. I loved, loved, loved the Basic Grey papers. I hope all of you come into the store and pick one up.

A small peek from me

Had a lot of fun working with this kit. As usual the kit is loaded with goodies both papers and embellishments. For this one project that you're getting a peek of here I used one of the new AccuCut dies from the store. The kit will be in the store and on-line September 1st
